Two suspected armed robbers have been burnt to death by an angry mob for impersonating sit-at-home enforcers in Onitsha, Anambra State.
The incident happened on Wednesday, January 19, 2022, at MCC junction, beside Conoil Filling Station, along Enugu/Onitsha highway.
It was gathered that the two suspects came on a motorcycle, robbed some residents in Awada of undisclosed amounts of money, phones, and other items after which they shot sporadically in the air to scare people away before escaping.
According to an eyewitness, the suspects were caught at MCC junction after they were given a hot chase by a mob who immediately placed the motorcycle on their top before setting them ablaze.
