The Zamfara State Government has said it has endorsed the release of fifty million naira for the renovation of the state NYSC permanent camp in Tsafe Local Government Area of the state.
Governor Bello Muhammad Matawalle disclosed this at the swearing-in ceremony of the 2020 Batch ‘A’ stream 1 corps members held at Tsafe Permanent Orientation Camp.
Represented by the Commissioner for Youth Development, Skills Acquisition and Sports, Abdulkadir Buhari Gora, remarked that the state government was also looking into the request of 33kv generator, utility vehicle, and office accommodation with a view to solve their problems.
He called on the management of the NYSC to avoid relocating of the corps members posted to the state to other States as the state needs their services.
The governor also commended the effort of President Muhammadu Buhari for increasing the allowances of the corps members to thirty-three thousand naira monthly.
Speaking earlier, the Zamfara State Coordinator of the scheme, Mohammed Namalam Taura urged the corps members to be law-abiding citizens in the Camp and in their places of primary assignments when posted out.
Over one thousand five hundred corps members were posted and registered in the Camp which to include Medical Doctors, Pharmacist, lawyers, social scientist, educationists among others.
