The Minister of State for Agriculture and Rural Development, Mustapha Baba Shehuri has commiserated with victims and families of those killed in Sunday’s attack in Auno along the Maiduguri – Damaturu road.
In a statement, the Minister described the attack as outrageous and cowardly leading to the death of many innocent people.
He prayed Allah to grant those killed eternal rest and the injured one’s speedy recovery.
The minister also re-assured the people of Borno and Nigerians of the Federal Government’s commitment to end the insurgency and other criminalities once and for all so as to enable law-abiding citizens to conduct their legitimate businesses in a peaceful and stable environment.
Mustapha also urged Nigerians to continue with their prayers for lasting peace and co-operate with security operatives by providing useful information that will assist in their operations.
